MOST IMPORTANT TIP: Use a reputable travel agent who specializes in Disney. We are your advocate and can score you a deep discount even after booking if your stay qualifies for any promos.. I know I have spent hours on the phone to save my clients money!
Tip one :
Join BJ 's Wholesale club as a plus member.. They sell discounted gift cards roughly 45.00 for a 50.00 card. Now if you have a Disney Chase Visa use that you earn 1% reward on your Visa and 2% cash back from BJ’s and of coarse you discounted card. This card can pay for your Hotel, room charges, tickets, package or and dining. It is excepted almost everywhere on Disney property.
Tip two :
Stay on Disney property (if only visiting WDW) it does seem like it is more expensive but once you ad in all the little items, and your time it really isn’t. No need for a car Disney provides all transportation on there property from airport to AK, MK, Epcot, Hollywood studios, all things downtown Disney, two water parks, golf venues, all resorts and mini golf spots.
Tip three :
Most resorts on Disney property supply a mini fridge. Now you can not buy large amounts of groceries on site but you can order from Garden Grocer to be delivered to your Hotel. I recommend some snacks and if you are a Pepsi or Beer drinker to order those, WDW only carries Coke products and beer runs about 7 bucks a pop. WE like to have a couple in the eves while getting ready for the next day. We also buy a case of water to freeze and take a couple bottle each day.
I recommend booking your hotel and flight as early as you can... Dining and FastPass+ reservations fill fast and the earlier you can plan these the better selection you will have.
Depending on you child’s age I would plan at the least 2 days for MK, 1 day HWS, 1 day AK and 1 to 2 days for Epcot. If you have small ones you can rent a stroller to be delivered to your resort. (Kingdom Strollers)
Buying a package is usually a better deal.... Flight, hotel, tickets and dining package.. The dining package is not always the best deal? Speak with your travel planner or do your research..
Pin trading is fun and really great for shy kiddos but can get expensive. Try ebay to buy pins before you leave, (they have to be Disney pins) Cast members have to trade if the kids are younger than 12 and if the cast member doesn’t already have.
I always bring pre printed labels(small) with our resort name and cell phone number to put on new purchases.. Just in case.
I buy glow powder online and ad it to hair gel we apply this in the AM before we hit the parks, this charges while you are outside and glows when you go into the dark rides.
Take a picture of small children/whole party each day before you get to the park so you can have it handy just in case you get separated .
